Who are we?The hostel is owned by Mel James, a Canadian who's been on the island for 26 years. She has 2 sons. Deo who helps running the hostel, as well as offering fly fishing excursions, and Auri, who will be taking over the cafe as of Dec 2025. Our full-time employee Belkis has been at the hostel for several years, and helps out with everything. Kiara works in reception and around the hostel. We have a part-time worker Christian, who is in a few times a week to help with cleaning, yardwork and painting, and volunteer helpers that stay 6-10 weeks at a time. Our current volunteer for mid-Oct to mid-Dec is Davi from Brazil. We have 3 pets, our adorable dog Watchie, a new puppy, MJ, and our cat Tortuga.

El hostal pertenece y es operado por Mel James, un canadiense que ha estado en la isla por 26 años. Tiene 2 hijos, Deo y Auri. Deo esta en cargo del hostel desde agosto 2024 para que Mel puede viajar. Nuestra trabajadora Belkis Pereira puede ayudarle con cualquier cosa durante su estadia. Kiara trabaja como receptionista. Christian viene unas veces por semana a ayudar con la limpieza, jardin y pintando. También tenemos un ayudante de albergue que cambia cada mes o dos, por lo que siempre hay un rostro nuevo,.Tenemos 3 mascotas, un perro Watchie, una nueva perrita, MJ, y nuestro gato Tortuga.
