Solving the disappearing key problem

I've found that keys have a nasty habit of disappearing when I have hostel guests departing early morning and don't see them when they go.  So I had one of my friends bring me down key-less locks when she came down from the States: problem solved!  They're great: I can just re-program the code when I have anyone leave, and then no one needs to carry around a key with them.  Unfortunately, one of them doesn't work properly, so I'll need to send it back up when my friend leaves, and wait for the next visitor to bring me down a replacement.
Other than the new locks, no new changes for the moment.  I'm saving up to get started on the loft space, and maybe get some cushions made for the benches that I put in along the front porch.  The porch is such a great spot to hang out- in the evenings, there's a lovely breeze.  I was just down there now, chatting with a few guests that arrived a few days ago, who are from the U.K.

Goodbye to Pete (and Alex)

My 2nd official hostel guest was also my longest hostel guest- Pete just left this weekend, but is still on Roatan, he and his friend Alex (who also stayed at the hostel the last few weeks) have found a long-term rental, so we'll still see them around.  In his few weeks at the hostel, Pete got to see lots of changes (including the upgrade from the cars and trucks sheet sets to the standard white onces that I finally got, as well as benches installed along the porch, and of course the opening of the pool
