A couple years ago, I purchased t-shirts and beer coozies with the hostel logo. Most of the time, I forget to mention to guests that we have them, but I love to have them for our own use, as well as for a gift when we've really gotten to know someone staying with us. I just got an order of a few new things with our logo- hats for the boys and I, a great sweatshirt for me during rainy season, some stickers to give away, and magnets to put on our (eventual) car. Have I mentioned recently how much I love having a hostel? Can't wait to get back!

You already know about the diving, snorkeling and ziplining that Roatan has to offer, but looking for something different? There are a few other activities that have been started the last few years. Need a pedicure? Check out fish therapy in West Bay at Bananarama. My boys and I discovered something similar in a little pond in Brazil- we dunked in our feet, and dozens of little fish started nibbling away at them, it was so fun! Evidently, someone else had an experience like this, and decided to share (and make money at it), so you can now pay to stick your feet in a tank of water and have the fish pick away at you.
Another activity that looks a lot of fun is putting on those water jet boots in West Bay for a ride- I'm planning to give that one a try sometime. If you want to feel like a kid again, try the floating inflatable slide and trampoline- lots of fun and great exercise, or head out to the rope swing on the sailboat in West End. |
